Your Abelia Bonsai

Abelias are easy to grow as Bonsai because they are very forgiving. They require half shade to sun. Under conditions of high fertility and mild temperatures thru winter the foliage remains evergreen to semi-evergreen. They respond to additional lime and iron and take pruning well. Use directional pruning after shearing and removing suckers. It's roots thrive in a cool, moist substrate high in organic matter.
